Are you passionate about promoting Indigenous culture and heritage? Do you have a creative mind and a knack for marketing? Pemiska Tourism, based in the Beardy’s & Okemasis’ Cree Nation, is seeking a dedicated Marketing Coordinator to help us showcase the beauty and authenticity of our Indigenous experiences.

Pemiska Tourism is a proudly 100% Indigenous-owned and operated tourism business located in the heart of the Beardy’s & Okemasis’ Cree Nation.


  1. Content Creation: Develop engaging and culturally relevant content for our website, social media channels, newsletters, and promotional materials. Highlight the unique experiences and offerings available at Pemiska Tourism, showcasing the beauty and authenticity of Indigenous culture.
  2. Social Media Management: Manage our social media presence across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and our website: pemiska.ca. Create and curate compelling content, engage with our community of followers, and coordinate social media campaigns to increase awareness and engagement.
  3. Digital Marketing Campaigns: Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns to drive traffic, bookings, and revenue. Utilize email marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), and online advertising to reach new audiences and nurture relationships with existing customers.
  4. Community Engagement: Collaborate with members of the Beardy’s & Okemasis’ Cree Nation community to ensure that our marketing efforts are culturally sensitive and respectful. Seek input and feedback from community members to ensure that our messaging accurately reflects our values and priorities.
  5. Event Coordination: Coordinate our presence at trade shows, conferences, and community events to promote Pemiska Tourism and engage with potential customers. Prepare marketing materials, presentations, and booth displays to showcase our offerings and attract attention.


  • Post Secondary Education in Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven 2 years experience in marketing, preferably within the tourism or hospitality industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a passion for storytelling and cultural exchange.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of Indigenous culture, history, and traditions, with a deep respect for Indigenous values and perspectives.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media management, email marketing, and analytics.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Commitment to promoting sustainable tourism practices and supporting the economic development of Indigenous communities.
