Safety

Our trails serve many purposes—summer routes cross working cattle pastures, while in fall, they wind through traditional hunting grounds, connecting you to both land and legacy.

FIND YOUR WAY

More than just trails

Woven through the lands and waters of our ancestors, these trails aren’t just routes—they’re relationships. Spotted with history, they follow the footsteps of the Carlton Trail and the fur trade, echo with the resistance and resilience of the Battle of Duck Lake and carry stories from the only wars fought on Canadian soil.

We are proud to be part of the Trans Canada Trail, a vast network that connects our local paths to communities across all of Canada. Through this partnership, our stories, footsteps, and land are linked with a wider journey—from coast to coast to coast.

Trans Canada Trail

The Land Speaks—Just Listen

Coming soon, our trails will become an interactive experience—visitors will be able to scan signage along the path to hear, see, and feel the stories of our territory come to life. Whether you’re walking, paddling, or just dreaming your way through, you’re already on it.

LAND AND WATER

Where the river flows, and paths meet purpose

Glide down routes that carried trade, stories, and kin. Located between the North and South Saskatchewan Rivers, Beardy’s & Okemasis’ Cree Nation sits on land shaped by movement—of water, wildlife, and people.

Explore the lands of the Beardy’s & Okemasis’ Cree Nation— We boast over 17 kilometers of multi-purpose recreational trails suited for any wanderer. Our portion of the Trans Canada Trail includes historic waterways, National historic sites, and paths that move across hills, forests, rivers, and skies.
